The 20 participants began the first week of activities on March 9th in the newspaper’s editorial office. This year’s edition has an emphasis on economics.
Over the course of three months, the class will participate in lectures and debates with experts and professionals in the field and will have classes on journalistic and writing practices. Furthermore, trainees will follow the day-to-day work at in a rotation through the newspaper’s editorial offices.
The 70th edition of the program is sponsored by Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks), the CNA/Senar System (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil and the National Rural Learning Service) and Philip Morris Brasil.

Alana Morzelli, 20, from Curitiba, always knew she would choose journalism. He is in the seventh period of the course at . He is a fan of pop culture and admires divas like Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter.
Born in Pinhais (PR), Christian Policeno, 21, moved to São Paulo (SP) at the age of 9. His interest in sports led him to study journalism. He completed the course at and was an intern at the newspaper Valor Econômico.
Gabriel Serpa, 35, from São Paulo, has a degree in journalism from and worked as an intern on the website E-Investidor, from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. Before choosing the journalism course, he studied law and participated in a theater company.
Born in Porto Velho (RO), Guilherme Matos, 27, moved to Piracicaba (SP) at 18. He dropped out of engineering college to study journalism at . He was a reporter and editor for Jornal da Cidade, in Bauru.
Guilherme Weffort, 29, is from Itabuna (BA), but grew up in São Paulo (SP). He graduated in journalism from and in law from . After three years in the legal field, he sees the trainee at Sheet a way to return to journalism.
Resident of the north of São Paulo, Ícaro Novais, 27, has a degree in journalism from . Passionate about literature, he is a regular visitor to second-hand bookstores in the region. He worked as a press officer before entering the training program at Sheet.
João Pedro Adania, 26, was born in Campo Grande (MS) and moved to the capital of São Paulo in 2016. He has a degree in journalism from . Corintiano, has sports journalist Juca Kfouri as an inspiration and now intends to specialize in economics.
Jônatas Fuentes, 22, from São Paulo, is in the seventh period of the USP journalism course. Aficionado of technology and audiovisual, he says he sees the profession as a tool to combat the spread of misinformation on the internet. He enjoys attending street events in São Paulo.
Junior Araujo, 22, was born in Laranjeiras do Sul (PR) and moved to São Paulo in 2025 to study economics at . He sees journalism as a way to make economic issues more accessible to people.
Lívia Goulart, 26, thought about studying architecture and urbanism, but changed her mind during the pandemic and opted for journalism. Born in Pelotas (RS), he lives in Florianópolis and studies at .
Maria Clara Matos, 26, is from Salvador (BA) and moved to São Paulo to study journalism. Graduated from Cásper Líbero, she worked at the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo and CNN Brasil and collaborated with other outlets, including Al Jazeera and the Miami Herald.
Maria Clara Prudêncio, 24, was born in Macapá (AP). He thought about studying fashion before studying journalism, which he completed at . Published reports on environmental journalism on the websites Amazônia Vox and InfoAmazonia.
Mariana Grasso, 22, is a journalist graduated from . Born in Santo André, in ABC São Paulo, he worked at CNN Brasil, in areas such as daily life, the environment and special stories.
Nathália Moreira Flórido, 22, was born in Santos (SP), but grew up in São Paulo (SP). He graduated in journalism from and has worked at UOL and TVT (TV dos Trabalhadores). He attends the Presbyterian church and competes in judo, a sport he has practiced for eight years.
Nicole Lopes Rodrigues, 26, is from Seropédica, in the Baixada Fluminense region. She graduated in journalism from , studied brand management and is now a freshman on the administration course at the same institution.
Raquel Athaide, 23, was born and lives in the east zone of São Paulo and is a fan of South Korean culture and cuisine. She graduated in journalism from Unip and is a voluntary contributor to the digital magazine KoreaIN, which covers topics related to Korean culture.
Richard Henrique Andrade Pinto, 24, from São Paulo, is in his eighth period of journalism at . He worked as a real estate agent and a health center assistant and was a reporter for the digital newsletter Barquinho Cultural, where he wrote about television series and pop culture.
Samara Almeida, 21, became interested in journalism in elementary school, when she was part of the team responsible for the school newspaper. A Paulista native raised in the north zone, she graduated in journalism from Uninove and is passionate about cinema and literature.
Sílvia Miguel, 56, is from Novo Horizonte (SP) and has lived in the capital of São Paulo since she was 18. She has a degree in journalism from and in public health from USP, where she also works as the college’s press officer. Mother of Pedro, aged 16, she says that spending time with young people is one of her greatest sources of inspiration.
Born in Resende (RJ), Vinicius Macêdo, 24, recently graduated in journalism from . He exchanged in England, Holland and Morocco. He has already collaborated with BBC Brasil and has worked in the newsrooms of the newspapers O Globo and Valor Econômico. He likes literature, especially classics like Graciliano Ramos and Machado de Assis.
