The PL president minimized the importance of the transfer, during an interview with GloboNews: “Everyone donates, these people donate because of Bolsonaro’s strength and prestige.”
This Wednesday, the former director of inspection of the Central Bank, Paulo Sérgio de Souza, was also scheduled to be heard, but the minister withdrew the obligation.
Mendonça also gave him the option to go and remain silent, that is, to not answer questions if he wanted.

In his order that authorized the searches, minister André Mendonça cited messages in which Paulo Sergio “even gave suggestions to Daniel Vorcaro on how he should behave in a meeting” with the president of the Central Bank.
“Even though he is a Bacen server [Banco Central]Paulo Sérgio becomes a kind of employee/consultant to Vorcaro for matters of exclusively private interest to the latter”, said the minister.
