The commemorative program will be available on Disney+ on March 24, the same date the series debuted in 2006
A Disney released this Tuesday (17) the official trailer for 20th anniversary celebration of “Hannah Montana”. The special will be available on Disney+ streaming on Monday, March 24, the same date the series premiered on the channel Disney Channelem 2006.
Entitled “Hannah Montana: 20th Anniversary Special”the commemorative program was recorded with a live audience. In a statement, the president of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, said that the goal of the project is to be a “love letter to fans”.
The special features a exclusive interview with Miley Cyrus. The artist brought to life the character Miley Stewart, a teenager who lived a double life as the pop star Hannah Montana.
With her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, and father, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley recalled several moments from the years she worked on the franchise. The sets of the Malibu house’s living room and Hannah Montana’s closet were reassembled for the special. The artist still sang emblematic songsas the opening of the series “The Best of Both Worlds”.
“Knowing that, after so many years, this continues to mean so much to people fills me with pride. This ‘Hannahversary’ It’s my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who have been by my side for 20 years,” said Miley.
With four seasons, The series “Hannah Montana” ran from 2006 to 2011 and was nominated for an Emmy. The series still yielded 14 platinum and 18 gold albumsin addition to “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and the concert film “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert”.
