Elche – David Affengruber has claimed the first win of 2026 with FC Elche. The central defender, who was called up to the ÖFB team, played through the 2-1 home win against Mallorca on Saturday. Elche had not won a competitive game since December 21st of the previous year. Thanks to the win against a direct competitor, the promoted team, which was threatened with relegation, moved up to 16th place in the table.
