Educational opportunities in Austria are still largely inherited, as numerous statistics and studies show. Children of parents with a low level of education and income are therefore less likely to obtain a higher level of education later on. A project that has been trying to counteract this has been the Samaritan Association’s Learning Leos for 13 years. But now they are struggling with financial bottlenecks, as the Samaritan Association of Vienna announced this week.
