Interlocutors of the governor of , (Republicans), expressed perplexity to members at the fact that the trial on the legality of the privatization of had been interrupted at the request of minister Luiz Fux.
This Friday (20), Fux made a prominent request, with no date set yet. He made the decision after the rapporteur, minister Cristiano Zanin, voted against suspending the sale. The action was proposed by PT.
According to reports, an interlocutor of Tarcísio called Fux’s office to try to better understand the reason that led the minister to interrupt the trial.
This week, to ask for the rejection of the action, which calls for the annulment of privatization. The main argument is that the sale notice, from 2024, restricted the competitiveness of the event.
The privatization of Sabesp is the crown jewel of the Tarcísio government’s privatization program and one of its biggest flags in this term. A possible annulment by the STF would be considered politically disastrous by the governor.
