The senator, at an event alongside another senator (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic. Moro’s wife, deputy Rosângela Moro (PR), like her husband, left for the PL, where she will run for re-election.
In his speech, Moro stated that Paraná will not lack Flávio, but he also signaled to the governor (PSD-PR), to Palácio do Planalto to try to find a successor in Paraná. Moro stated that he will continue Ratinho’s good policies in the state.
“Paraná will be our fortress. […] We are going to continue the good things that the current government did, the Ratinho government, but we are also going to seek a government of excellence, of change”, said Moro, highlighting that he counts on Flávio in Planalto to realize the dreams he desires for the state.
Regarding Ratinho’s withdrawal, Flávio praised the governor, but stated that he had not understood his decision, in the first place, to be a candidate for president, as he “had no reason”. Two weeks ago, he wanted to be a candidate for vice president on the Bolsonaro ticket, but he refused, maintaining the position of running for Planalto.
“I love him well, I like him, I admire his work. Honestly, I didn’t understand the movement of him being a candidate for president. There was no reason for that. Then you have to know what motivated him to launch himself and. […] Ratinho is always a good character to work with us on a national level”, said Flávio.
Flávio also stated that support from Ratinho to Moro would be welcome. The governor, however, and, nationally, must support the PSD candidate, although it is not ruled out that Ratinho will also campaign for Flávio.
The event also criticized the president (PT), whom Moro accused of protecting criminals.
Flávio and Moro exchanged compliments, despite Moro’s break with the former president (PL), for whom he was Minister of Justice. Flávio stated that he knows Moro’s work in favor of public security, while the man from Paraná stated that he feels supported by the PL.
In April 2020, after a process of continuous attrition, the former judge, amid accusations that Bolsonaro was trying to interfere unduly with the Federal Police. In 2022, after an unsuccessful attempt to run for President, Moro supported Bolsonaro in the second round.
In his speech, Flávio warned about the electoral scenario in Paraná. Despite Moro leading the polls, he stated that we cannot let our guard down.
The Paraná ticket also has deputy Filipe Barros (PL) and the former deputy (Novo) as candidates for the Senate.
Moro, Rosângela and Flávio also defended Bolsonaro’s house arrest. , with the favorable opinion of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic regarding the transfer of the former president to his home, the expectation of pocketnaristas is that the minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), will authorize the measure.
