PT apoiaria Mailza, Alan or Bocalom in the 2nd shift? Kamai replies to ContilNet

The president of the PT in Acre, André Kamai, said during his participation in , the PT’s podcast ContilNetthat it is not possible to know who the party would support in a possible second round of the dispute for the Government of Acre if the pre-candidate of their group, doctor Thor Dantas, were left out of the dispute.

Kamai states that this would be a collective decision and that the alliance parties would need to reach a consensus on the matter, but he is betting that Thor will go to the second round.

The politician recalled the dispute for the government of Acre in the 90s, which gave victory to Jorge Viana, even with the politician in third place.

“First, let’s go to history. In 90, Jorge Viana was the first time that Jorge was a candidate for governor of Acre. In 90 we had two candidates from the right-wing camp, who were Branquinho (Rubens Branquinho) and Edmundo Pinto. Rubens Branquinho had more than 60% voting intention, Edmundo Pinto was in second place and Jorge appeared more or less; he was a novelty, 30 years old, appearing there with little experience, people knew him more or less. And we went for a campaign with a lot of creativity, with a lot of mobilization, bringing hope to people’s hearts, touching on people’s real lives, and we had a second round with Edmundo Pinto and Jorge Viana”, he pointed out.

“If we reach a second round without Thor, I think we will have to have a debate in our alliance; it is not the PT that will decide alone. We have a Federation, we have a political field, we are proposing the construction of an alliance for the future of Acre. This alliance will not fall apart after the election if it depends on us; we want to build a political project that will discuss Acre. Because after the election we will probably oppose whoever wins, even if we have some support there, but we will continue presenting our political project. We will elect state deputies, federal deputies and we will have a political position in this story”, he added.

Kamai did not rule out the possibility of the group supporting a right-wing candidacy in the 2nd round, but said that it depends “much more on there than on here”.

“This possibility of helping, of supporting some candidacies depends much more on who will be there than on us. Who will be willing to discuss programmatically with us what they are… what they will absorb from what we propose from a programmatic point of view. You know? What are the commitments to the people of Acre, not to us, that they are going to do, which is not in their program and is in ours, that they are going to agree for us to form this alliance. That’s it. We are making an effort, Everton, not to do a debate — just to finish — of not having a debate that circulates solely between a right and left debate. That’s not it. We have to have a debate about the issue, the reality of Acre, about what we need to change in Acre, about what we need to move forward. which I believe we will be — but if we are not there in the second round, whoever is willing to talk about our program, we have the possibility of talking, yes”, he concluded.
