If Brazilian legislation allows, the Russian state company Rosatom aims to work with uranium in the country, said Ivan Dybov, the company’s CEO, during the CNN Talks: New Era of Miningheld this Tuesday (30), in São Paulo, bringing together authorities, experts and sector leaders.
Dybov also highlighted the CNN Brazil that the company introduce new uranium exploration technologies in the country.

According to the executive, the company’s technology means that, when mining uranium, it is not necessary to destroy large volumes of land or trees, making it a more “environmentally friendly and cheaper” process.

The meeting takes place at a time when Brazil is trying to transform its geological advantage into economic, industrial and diplomatic protagonism, with debates on financing, environmental licensing, innovation, sustainability, traceability, added value and greater participation of the country in the most noble stages of the mineral chain.
