The minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) determined this Tuesday (24) that the (PL) house should be monitored, which will have an initial period of 90 days.
In the decision that authorized the transfer of Papudinha, Moraes said that security agents must inspect all cars that leave Bolsonaro’s house, in the Solar de condominium, in Jardim Botânico. “The inspections must be properly documented, indicating the vehicles, drivers and passengers”, he says.
Police officers will have to search visitors to collect cell phones or other electronic devices, to comply with the order that prevents the former president from using a telephone or means of external communication, directly or through third parties. The devices will need to be stored in a warehouse.
Bolsonaro will be able to receive his children, but under the same hours and rules as Papudinha, which foresees visits on Wednesdays and Saturdays, between 8am and 4pm. Lawyers can visit you every day, for thirty minutes a day, but they must make an appointment in advance with the 19th Military Police Battalion. The former president’s doctors have free access.
Other visits are suspended, “to protect the necessary controlled environment, mainly to avoid the risk of sepsis and [manter o] infection control”, wrote Moraes. “Any visit to another resident of the house is also prohibited, unless specific judicial authorization”, highlighted the minister.
Monitoring at Bolsonaro’s house will also be carried out in the external area, close to other residences in the condominium, due to “the existence of ‘contiguous properties on both sides and at the back, which causes the existence of blind spots'”.
Furthermore, Moraes banned demonstrations, such as camps, within a 1km radius of Bolsonaro’s address. The gathering of small groups of Bolsonarists was common when the former president was imprisoned at home and also at the PF Superintendency in Brasília.
The PM must also send reports weekly or immediately, in case of non-compliance with any measure.
“In relation to the security guards to which the custodian is entitled due to his status as former President of the Republic, the resumption of the exercise of his functions provided for by law is HEREBY AUTHORIZED, and the Defense must inform this SUPREME COURT, within 24 (twenty-four) hours, the names and pertinent information of all security agents, so that they can be duly registered”, added Moraes.
