He said Iran wants “so much to make a deal” on the conflict, arguing that Tehran is in the process of negotiating with the United States.

The remarks came at a Republican fundraiser in Washington, at a time of tension after Iran rejected a White House peace proposal.

Speaking at a gathering of Republicans in Washington, the US president maintained that Iran was pursuing a deal with the United States, despite public disagreements between the two sides.

“No one has ever seen anything like what we’re doing in the Middle East with Iran, and they’re negotiating, by the way, and they want so badly to make a deal, but they’re afraid to say it because they think their own people will kill them. They’re also afraid we’re going to kill them,” Trump said.

The American president’s statements were made a few hours after Iran rejected a peace plan proposed by the White House.

The Iranian side characterized the American demands

“Tehran continues the war”

And while the diplomatic thriller continues in the Middle East, the war rages with heavy blows on both sides for the 27th day.

Iran is moving military forces to the strategically important Kharg Island, fearing a US ground operation. It is recalled that the US has already hit the island from the air, without however affecting the oil installations.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran is continuing the war. He insists there are no negotiations with the US, only messages from mediators, which are “not constructive”.

The White House: “President Trump will unleash hell”

At the same time, the White House reports that “the talks are not deadlocked, but if Iran does not accept its defeat, President Trump will unleash hell.”

Large-scale attacks by Israel

As for Benjamin Netanyahu, the New York Times reports that he “fears” a truce between the US and Iran and has ordered massive strikes on Iranian targets within the next 48 hours, a report that is already being confirmed as Israel’s military announced that it had carried out “wide-scale” airstrikes in Iran.

The Israeli armed forces announced at around 04:30 that they had carried out “wide-scale” aerial bombardments in various areas of Iran, including that of Isfahan, in the central part of the country, on the 27th day of the war in the Middle East, which began in late February with the attack by the US and Israel.

“A short time ago, the Israeli armed forces completed a wave of large-scale strikes against the Iranian terrorist regime’s infrastructure in various areas in Iran,” reads the announcement they made public via Telegram.
