Drivers in the districts of Michalovce, Sobrance, Levice and the Bratislava area must be careful of strong winds. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) informs about it. On the website zjazdnost.sk, road users also draw attention to fog, which limits visibility to 100 m in the Štrba area.
The warning of the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) against gusty winds has been valid for the region of southwestern and southeastern Slovakia since early Sunday morning. Until the afternoon hours, it may occur in the districts of Bratislava, Trnava and parts of the Nitra and Trenčia regions in the west, as well as parts of the Košice region in the east wind that reaches a speed of 70 km/h in gusts.
Meteorologists also expect that on Sunday morning it can na in the mountains of northern and central Slovakia in positions above 1500 m, gusty winds of 110 – 135 km/h can be reached.
