With 62% disapproval, the Argentine president faces wear and tear due to social reforms, corruption scandals within the family and automatic alignment with the USA
To take honey from Javier Miley with the Argentine electorate seems to have come to an end. According to surveys carried out in the last five days, the president’s approval rating reached the lowest level since he took over the Casa Rosada: just 36% of Argentines rate their management as “excellent” or “good”. On the other hand, rejection jumped to 62%which classify the government as “bad” or “terrible”.
Despite having been successful in controlling inflation — one of the main problems inherited from previous administrations —, Milei was unable to shield his image from the side effects of his severe fiscal adjustment policy.
