A survey carried out from March 27th to 30th shows that the former governor has 46.6% of voting intentions; Elmano records 33.9%
A survey released this Wednesday (April 1, 2026) shows that the former governor of Ceará (PSDB) leads the dispute for command of the State, with 46.6% of voting intentions. The current governor, (PT), appears next, with 33.9% of intentions in the 1st round scenario.
Paraná Pesquisas interviewed 1,500 voters from Ceará from March 27 to 30, 2026. The margin of error is 2.6 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level of the survey is 95%. It is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number CE-00151/2026. The study cost R$130,000. It was paid for by DON7 Media.
Don7 Media (founded in 2021) is a news agency linked to Don7 Media Groupcommunications conglomerate created in 1997 by journalist Donizete Arruda in Fortaleza, which brings together vehicles such as the portal CN7 (focused on politics, police and everyday life), the portal Nerothe radio network Plus FM (with popular and journalistic programming) and printed Cariri newspaper.
2ND SHIFT
The study also tested a possible 2nd round scenario. Ciro Gomes would beat the current head of the state Executive, Elmano de Freitas. Ciro would have 53.3% of the votes compared to Elmano’s 36.4%.

SENATE
O former deputy (União Brasil) is the favorite to take one of the State’s seats in the Senate. Leads the 2 scenarios tested by the research. Next, the deputy appears (MDB). In 2026, each State will elect 2 representatives to the Upper House.

When asked about the rejection of the vote for the Senate, Captain Wagner also appears ahead, with 22.9%. PT member Guimarães comes next, with 20.3%.

ELMANO APPROVAL
The PT government is approved by 54.1% and disapproved by 42.5% of Ceará voters.
