The succession in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship is the reason for a struggle between the incumbent, (PSB), and the mayor of Recife, , national president of the PSB. The 2 try to have different names.
France has not yet left office, but wants the president (PT) to choose Maurício Juvenal, national secretary of Micro and Small Businesses. Campos is trying to get the ministry’s executive secretary, Tadeu Alencar, to become head of the body.
Alencar was federal deputy for Pernambuco for 2 consecutive terms, from 2015 to 2023. He is the father-in-law of Eduarda Campos, João’s sister.
O Poder360 contacted the advisors of Márcio França and João Campos to find out if they were interested in speaking out about the impasse. There was no response until the publication of this report.
FRANCE’S FUTURE
Márcio França’s political future is undefined. The chance for him to leave Entrepreneurship and replace (PSB), who will leave the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services to run for re-election as vice-president, has gained momentum in recent days.
Lula even invited France on Tuesday (31 March) to take over the Mdic, but he did not accept. He prefers to run for the Senate in São Paulo. A new conversation should take place on Thursday (April 2) on the subject.
To contest this year’s elections, it is necessary to have the non-compliance by April 4th – 6 months before the 1st round, scheduled for October 4th.
