It is rather unusual for Meta to send direct warnings to users. However, around 200 people recently received such full-screen notifications and were also logged out of their WhatsApp accounts. The reason: They had installed a manipulated Whatsapp client on their cell phone, which successfully connected to the messenger, but enabled users to be spied on.
