The former governor of Goiás and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD-GO), stated this Tuesday (1st) that the biggest challenge in the 2026 elections is not beating the Workers’ Party (PT), but rather governing the country. “Where we administer the country, the PT is not even an option. You need to get out of a polarized discussion that adds nothing to life.”, said Caiado, during his participation in the program ‘Os Pingos nos Is’.
“In the PT’s five terms, the most important factions in the world were those that grew during Lula’s government, at the same time corruption was rampant, but it is time to discuss the 2026 elections”, he added.
According to the pre-candidate, one way to ‘fix’ the country is to recover state sovereigntyand from there, provide security and show the reforms. “You vote in numbers, but people want to know if that candidate will solve his life”, said Caiado, who stated that he will win the second round of the elections.
“Lula’s victory in the second round is a reality. It is no surprise that Lula will lose the election in the second round. Polls show him with more than 50% rejection. The center-right will come to power,” he declared.
