The journalist is in and has shared records of her experience in the Amazon. In , in the interior of the state, she showed details of the local routine and preparation for a trip through the forest.

In one of the videos, the presenter appears in the city market while eating a typical breakfast from the region. On the menu, traditional foods such as tapioca and banana, which, according to her, help give energy for long journeys along the Amazon rivers.

During the report, Maria Cândida said that she is preparing for a canoe crossing of around eight hours along the Moa River, the region’s main waterway, heading to the Serra do Divisor National Park.

She highlighted the experience as an immersion in the forest, citing the biodiversity and preservation of the area, considered one of the most important in the Amazon. The region, according to the journalist, has crystal-clear rivers, great natural diversity and is close to the border with Peru.
