F-15E and A-10 models were hit; Search for pilot continues in Persian Gulf

The Iranian Army stated this Friday (April 3, 2026) that it had to combat the United States that was flying over Iranian territory. The incidents involving the F-15E and A-10 models mark an escalation in the war that began on February 28. The Iranian government has offered a reward to anyone who finds the pilot of one of the aircraft.

According to the state broadcaster IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting), an A-10 jet crashed into the waters of the Persian Gulf after being hit by air defense systems. The newspaper citing US and Israeli military sources, confirmed the crash of at least one of the fighters. One crew member was rescued safely, but the search for the second continues.

So far, the president (Republican Party) has not commented. In an interview with on Wednesday (April 1), Trump stated that the events would not affect the ongoing negotiations with Tehran. It is the first confirmed loss of a US aircraft since the beginning of the conflict, triggered by US and Israeli bombings.

IMPACT ON ENERGY

The regional war, which has lasted 5 weeks, is causing a global energy crisis. This Friday (April 3), the Habshan gas processing unit, in the United Arab Emirates, suspended operations following a fire caused by debris from an intercepted projectile.

In Kuwait, the Mina Al Ahmadi refinery and a water desalination plant were damaged by drone attacks. Saudi Arabia also reported the interception of multiple drones during the early hours of the morning.
