Palma de Mallorca – Olympic champion Valentin Bontus made it onto the podium of the Fomula Kite in the first regatta after tearing his cruciate ligament a year ago. The Lower Austrian, who went into the final in fourth place on Saturday, finished third in the “Trofeo Princesa Sofia” ahead of Palma de Mallorca. The victory on the Balearic island was secured for the fourth time by two-time world champion Max Maeder from Singapore. The Italian Riccardo Pianosi was also ahead of Bontus.
