Avante announces Augusto Cury as pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic

O Avante announced this Sunday (5) o writer and psychiatrist Augusto Cury as pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic by the acronym. The information was released on the social networks of the federal deputy and national president of the party, Luis Tibé, and Cury himself.

In the published video, the pre-candidate highlights numbers from his career as a best-selling author. He then appears alongside Tibé, addressing topics such as food security, entrepreneurship, pay for police officers and teachers, as well as political polarization.

“My goal is to contribute to the construction of the Brazil of our dreams. I don’t love power, I don’t need power and I don’t seek power for power’s sake. This is not a personal project, but a journey – a journey 100% based on projects and 0% personal attacks”, stated Cury in the caption of the publication.

O author also mentioned politicians with whom he claimed to have spoken “in a warm, respectful and enthusiastic way”, such as former president Michel Temer, Gilberto Kassab, Aécio Neves, Renata Abreu and Aldo Rebelo.

The president of Avante stated that “it’s time to think big” when announcing Cury’s name. “The Brazilian people can no longer take this polarization, and we need to turn this page with someone who can move the country forward with prosperity and quality of life,” he added.

Cury was born in 1958 in the city of Colina (São Paulo). He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto and has a postgraduate degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). In 2013, he completed his doctorate at Florida Christian University.

At the moment, maintains activities as a speaker and promotes courses in the area of ​​behavior. As an author, vpublished more than 40 million books published in more than 70 countries, according to a profile published on its website.
