Dorival Júnior is fired and leaves command of Corinthians

Dorival Júnior is no longer Corinthians coach. The coach’s dismissal comes after the tenth round of the Brazilian Championship this Sunday (5).

Champion of the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the Super Copa do Rei, Dorival has led Timão since April 2025. The decision comes amid a sequence of nine games without victories, seven of which were in the national competition.

The club communicated the decision through an official note.

“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista announces the dismissal of coach Dorival Júnior and his coaching staff.

The Club thanks the professionals for the services provided, marked by important achievements at the head of the team such as the Copa do Brasil in 2025 and the Supercopa Rei in 2026, results that will remain in the history of the institution.

Corinthians wishes them success in continuing their professional careers and informs that training this Monday (06) will be led by William Batista, under-20 coach.”

Dorival’s time at Corinthians

Dorival leaves the club after 63 matches in charge. During the period, there were 25 wins, 19 draws and 19 defeats. The contract was valid until the end of this year. A, around R$6 million.
