Flávio talks about union again after public friction with Michelle

Former first lady claimed to have been mistreated because of disagreements on the platform with Ciro Gomes in Ceará

The senator and pre-candidate for President (PL) asked again, on Friday (June 26, 2026), that voters leave the “side differences” to defeat the PT in the October elections. The statements come amid Flávio’s talks with his stepmother, Michelle Bolsonaro (PL), because of the PL’s negotiations to close a platform with (PSDB) in Ceará.

Flávio declared that it was important for the group to be united, leaving aside small personal differences. “It is very important, all of us, without exception, to be increasingly united, to leave our small differences aside, because often the path we choose is different, but to reach the same destination, to achieve the same goal.“, he said during the launch of PL pre-candidacies in Goiás.

The senator stated that the October election is not about the former president (PL) and (PT), but about the path that Brazil will choose for the next 50 years. The objective, he said, is to take the country away from the PT government and ensure that the group returns to the Palácio do Planalto.

In his speech, Flávio associated Lula’s government with the increase in crime and economic instability. He also defended the reduction of the criminal and civil age of majority to 16 years.

FRICTION WITH MICHELLE

On June 24, former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro published 2 videos on Instagram in which she said she was disrespected and mistreated on the phone by Flávio.

In the videos, Michelle described a call from Flávio after she criticized Ciro’s support. “He said it would be better for me to stay out of the party’s decisions. He said I had arrived yesterday and didn’t understand politics. Faced with this humiliation, I told him everything was fine. I understood that he didn’t want my support or that it was insignificant”, he stated.

The former first lady said that Jair Bolsonaro’s other children adopted positions similar to Flávio’s, which she considered premeditated.

In a post on X, Jair’s eldest son denied having intentionally offended Michelle and apologized. Flávio also said he had “respect and recognition” for the work of the former first lady at the head of PL Mulher, for her care for her father and for what she represents “to Brazil”.
