Research by Instituto Veritá shows governor and mayor of Recife with 35.4% of voting intentions each
A Verita survey released this Monday (April 6, 2026) shows that the governor of Pernambuco, (PSD), and the mayor of Recife, (PSB), are tied with 35.4% of voting intentions each for the State government.
Verita asked: “If the election were today and these were the candidates, who would you vote for as Governor of Pernambuco?”. Here is how the interviewees responded:
- Raquel Lyra (PSD) – 35.4%;
- João Campos (PSB) – 35.4%;
- (PL) – 5,3%;
- Ivan Moraes (Psol) – 3.5%;
- (PL) – 3,2%;
- Eduardo Moura (New) – 2.5%;
- Alfredo Gomes (Rede) – 0.2%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 9.3%;
- white/null – 5.1%.
The survey interviewed 2,010 people from March 24 to 30, 2026. The margin of error is 2.5 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level of the survey is 95%. Read the study (PDF – 4 MB).
The survey is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number PE-02184/2026. The study cost R$154,770. It was paid for with its own resources.
