The president of the United States, Donald Trump, appears to have postponed to Tuesday night the ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or, otherwise, he will destroy “all the power plants” in that country, according to what he said this Sunday in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
“If they don’t do something before Tuesday night, they won’t have any power plants and they won’t have any bridges left standing,” Trump said about Iran in a telephone interview with that newspaper.
These statements hint at the possibility that the president has extended by 24 hours the ultimatum he gave to Iran a few days ago to reopen the strait before turning the country “into hell.”
