Mendonça says he expects Jorge Messias at the STF “soon”

In a ceremony at Alesp, the Supreme Court minister stated that he “hopes” for Messias to leave the AGU for “a good reason”

Minister André Mendonça, of the Federal Supreme Court, said he hoped that “shortly” Jorge Messias leaves the AGU (Attorney General of the Union) to take up the vacancy open at the STF after the .

The phrase was uttered at an event to award the Necklace of Honor to Legislative Merit at Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo), held this Monday (6.Apr.2026), with the presence of the of (PT) to the position.
