A man was arrested, this Wednesday (8), for raping a teenager inside the bathroom of a bar in Botafogo, South Zone of Rio, on Monday (6). He was located at his residence in the same neighborhood where he committed the crime.
According to information from PCERJ (Civil Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro), immediately after the crime was reported to the police unit. The victim, accompanied by his mother, reported that he found the man near his school, in Botafogo.
After the meeting, they both went to a shopping mall in the region and, during this period, he began to insist that they be alone in a private place, such as the establishment’s parking lot, with the teenager repeatedly refusing his advances.
Then, the two went to a bar in the region, where the criminal again insisted that they both go to the bathroom, being repelled again by the victim.
At one point, the teenager went alone to the , but was followed by the criminal. The man then took the minor’s cell phone and locked the door, where he sexually abused the victim.
To reach the perpetrator of the crime, the police carried out several steps and analyzed the images from the security cameras.
The expert examination confirmed the sexual abuse and the evidence gathered made it possible to prove the materiality of the crime.
