Flávio Bolsonaro targets right-wing base and agriculture on agendas in MS and RS

The senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), targets the right-wing and agribusiness on agendas starting this Thursday (9) at Mato Grosso do Sul and no Rio Grande do Sul.

Although it seeks to expand the base of potential voters beyond the right, the assessment is that it is also urgent to maintain those who are already loyal to the Bolsonarism. Therefore, if it appears close to the agribusiness and strengthen ties with right-aligned groups.

Flávio Bolsonaro confirmed his presence at the opening of the Expograndeagricultural fair in Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, this Thursday. In video alongside the federal deputy Rodolfo Nogueira (PL-MS), the pre-candidate called the sector “pride”.

Among the PL pre-candidates for the Senate in the state, some of the names closest to Flávio are those of the former governor of Mato Grosso do Sul Reinaldo Azambujawho assumed the state presidency of the party, and the federal deputy Marcos Pollon (PL-MS).

Mato Grosso do Sul is also the senator’s electoral state Teresa Cristina (PP), who is considering re-election. She is seen as a strong name to be a candidate for vice on Flávio’s ticket. However, she has not shown much excitement about the possibility. Flávio’s allies have even begun to consider alternatives.

The state is one of the main political-economic hubs of the agroindustry. This way, it will also be an opportunity for Flávio to speak to rural producers and representatives of the sector.

In Rio Grande do Sul, on Saturday (11), the agenda should have a more political character, with dialogue with leaders and groups identified with the right. The event will be made up of politicians from PL, Novo, Republicans, Progressives e Can we.

The intention is to launch the pre-candidacy for federal deputy Coronel Luciano Zucco (PL-RS) to the state government of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to the pre-candidacies of federal deputies Ubiratan Sanderson (PL-RS) e Marcel van Hattem (Novo-RS) to the Senate.

The move reinforces the strategy of consolidating support in key segments — such as agribusiness — and, at the same time, maintain an active presence in states with important ideological bases.
