Riga – Austria’s men’s national ice hockey team started its preparations for the World Cup in May with a victory. In the first of two test matches against Latvia in Riga, head coach Roger Bader’s selection won 4:3 (1:0.3:3.0:0) on Wednesday. Maximilian Rebernig, Benjamin Nissner, Luca Erne and Lucas Thaler scored the ÖEHV team’s goals. The second game against the Latvians, who are also involved in the World Cup, is scheduled for Thursday (6.30 p.m.).
