Last minute of the return of Artemis 2, live | The four astronauts return after their nine-day mission to circle the Moon | Science

The live narration of the re-entry, the most dangerous moment of the mission, begins here

Good afternoon, we begin this live to narrate the return of NASA’s Artemis 2 mission after ten days of travel around the Moon.

The four crew members of Artemis 2 face the moment. The Orion ship, in which they have traveled to the far side of the Moon, without landing, will return to Earth minutes after 2 in the morning from Friday to Saturday, Spanish peninsular time. It will only be about 13 minutes in which more than 2,500 degrees will be reached due to the pressure and friction of the air. If all goes well, Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover and specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen will fall into the Pacific Ocean, near the coast of San Diego, California, where an amphibious assault ship of the US Navy is already waiting for them.
