The singer Mariah Carey57, has officially put her million-dollar triplex up for sale. Located in Tribeca, New York, the property is valued at US$27 million (about R$135 million). This is the first time that the apartment has been available for purchase since the artist acquired it in 1999.
With approximately 1,180 square meters of internal area, the residence occupies the top three floors of the building and has a rooftop with panoramic views of the Hudson River. The triplex has 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a gym and a glassed-in balcony.
In addition to having housed Carey for almost thirty years, the house was designed by designer Mario Buatta. According to the announcement by Core Real Estate, the company responsible for the sale, the highlight of the plant is its flexibility. “The 16th floor can function independently, while the 17th and 18th floors form a distinct upper duplex, crowned by the terrace,” the advertisers wrote.
Although it does not appear in the publicity photos, the space reserved for the iconic closet is also on the plan. When it was acquired, approximately 27 years ago, the property was valued at approximately US$9 million (approximately R$45 million).
In 2002, when the singer had already transformed the interior to “look like her”, Carey participated in the “MTV Cribs” program. In the episode, she took a luxurious tour inside her new house, including changing clothes in her residential dressing room.
The American composer is not the only one giving up her luxurious residence. In the last month,
