
Donald Trump’s Triumphal Arch
The new Triumphal Arch that the President of the United States wants to install in Washington was unveiled this Friday. It includes a figure similar to the Statue of Liberty and the phrase “One Nation Under God”.
The plan of “Independence Arch”released by the North American Arts Commission, has 12 pages and shows an arch that will be close to 77 metrosfrom the base to the tip of the figure’s torch.
The Donald Trump Arch will be installed between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. The monument will have two eagles and four lions and, set in gold, the inscriptions “One Nation Under God” and “Liberty and Justice for All”.
For the US president, the structure, similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, is a 200-year-old design of the North American capital.
“It was interrupted by something called the Civil War, so it was never built. Then, they almost built something in 1902, but it never happened,” he explained in February.

Trump joins celebrations
Trump celebrates this year, in June, the 80th anniversarybeing the oldest President to hold the position.
Also this year, the USA celebrates the 250th anniversary of independencewith an unusual set of events being prepared, such as a racing Indy formula through the streets of Washington and wrestling matches at the White House.
Os American presidents are usually named of buildings or infrastructure when they leave office or after their death. However, Trump, a real estate billionaire who already owns a tower named after him on New York’s prestigious Fifth Avenue, has already sought to ensure the honor.
In December, the Kennedy Center’s board of trustees – chosen by the Republican president – voted to rename this prestigious Washington cultural institution the “Trump Kennedy Center”.
It also announced the launch of a new class of large ships of war that will bear his name.
The Treasury Department also confirmed the existence of a plan for a commemorative one-dollar coin with the image of Trumpalthough laws prohibit placing the image of a sitting or living President on banknotes.
According to several media outlets, including CNN and NBC, Trump wanted two of the busiest places in the United States named after him: Penn Station in New York and Dulles International Airport in Washington.
Citing anonymous sources, the media reported this month that Trump offered the Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumerthe release of more than $16 billion (13.5 billion euros) in federal funds frozen by his administration, earmarked for a major rail tunnel project between New York and New Jersey, if the Democratic politician agreed to help rename the train station and airport.
Schumer, also a senator from New York, rejected the proposal, according to the aforementioned sources.
