The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced this Saturday that it had arrested, in Braga, a Portuguese citizen convicted in Germany for offenses against qualified physical integrity, for stabbing a homeless person, in 2023, and attacking another.

In a statement, the PJ says that the 47-year-old man was sentenced to a prison sentence of two years and eight months, and is now in preventive detention after being brought before the Guimarães Court of Appeal.

At issue are offenses against qualified physical integrity, referring to facts from 2023, when, “within a span of five months, he physically attacked a person and stabbed another while homeless.”
