Sponsors from Austria and Germany want to withdraw from the Salzburg Festival following the departure of artistic director Markus Hinterhäuser. This was reported at the weekend Presse with reference to an open letter that she has received and is addressed, among other things, to the Board of Trustees of the Salzburg Festival and the President of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Salzburg Festival, Heinrich Spängler.
