Atman Festival returns to Loulé with two days of yoga, music and well-being

Loulé Municipal Park hosts, on the 9th and 10th of May, the third edition of , a free participation event that stands out as one of the main initiatives dedicated to personal and spiritual development in the south of the country.

Over two days, the festival offers a diverse program, which includes yoga classes, meditation, ceremonies, workshops, live music and activities aimed at all ages.

The organization emphasizes that this is “one of the most inclusive and relevant initiatives in the area of personal and spiritual development in the south of the country”.

More than an event, Atman presents itself as an integrated experience, where “body, mind and community meet”, promoting well-being and sharing among participants.

Mushina is the international highlight of the poster

The main highlight of this edition is the presence of Mushina, a reference name in the Ecstatic Dance universe, who will perform on Saturday, May 9th, at 6pm.

Recognized for creating immersive experiences, the artist brings to the festival “a proposal that goes beyond music: an experience of free movement, presence and collective connection”, this being one of the most anticipated moments of the program.

Programming distributed across several thematic spaces

The Atman Festival is organized into different thematic areas, allowing each visitor to build their own itinerary. Throughout the weekend, practices such as Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Somatic Yoga and Yoga Nidra take place, guided by teachers from different approaches.

One of the event’s most iconic spaces integrates symbolic experiences, with emphasis on the Ceremony of the 4 Elements, the Ritual of Light, Human Design practices, Tarot and rituals of Celtic and shamanic inspiration. It is also in this context that Ecstatic Dance with Mushina takes place.

Activities for families and cultural aspects

The festival also includes an area dedicated to families, with activities designed for the youngest, such as children’s yoga, creative workshops, storytelling and sensory experiences, promoting connection with nature and creativity.

Another aspect of the event combines conscious eating, art and music, with plant-based cooking shows, medical music concerts, singing circles and live painting, reinforcing the cultural and community dimension of the initiative.

Universal access and connection to nature

The free nature of the festival is assumed to be a central principle, being seen as “a clear position”, with the aim of making well-being practices accessible to the entire community, “regardless of financial condition”.

Located in the Loulé Municipal Park, the event benefits from a natural setting that enhances the experience, inviting participants to slow down and get actively involved.

The visitor is challenged to “participate, not as a spectator, but as an active part of a community in movement”.
