The police are looking for witnesses to the tragic traffic accident that happened between Plavnica and Stara Ľubovňa shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday (April 11). A 32-year-old passenger died in a collision between two cars, and three other people ended up in the hospital. The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Prešov published a video of the driving of a dark car on the social network and calls on drivers who were in the area at the time to report to the police.
“We ask drivers who at that time were moving in the section from Spišská Stará Ves towards the town of Stará Ľubovňa and then towards the village of Plavnica to come forward if they have a camera recording of the dark BMW vehicle driving. Any information can be crucial,” the police said.
The collision of two cars took place on the I/68 road. According to the police, the 20-year-old driver of the car was in the first vehicle, who was taken by helicopter to the hospital. Another, 30-year-old driver from the second car, along with one passenger, were taken to the hospital by paramedics. “The second, 32-year-old passenger unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on the spot,” added the police.
