“You can go, right? Let’s hope”, says Alckmin about Neymar in the World Cup

The vice-president (PSB) stated this Monday (April 13, 2026) that he hopes that Neymar competes in the . “You can go, right? Let’s hope”, he told journalists when asked whether the athlete should be called up or not.

The speech was brief and in a relaxed tone. Alckmin gave a lecture at the headquarters of the (União Geral dos Trabalhadores), in the center of São Paulo, this Monday morning (April 13). Santos fan made a comment about football: “The fish did well on Saturday. Let’s hope the fish swims.”

Alckmin’s lecture also included union leaders and civil society representatives, such as Ricardo Patah, president of the union, Enilson Simões, founder of Força Sindical, and Maria Edna, secretary of Women at UGT.
