Genial/Quaest: Flávio (42%) remains tied with Lula (40%) – 04/15/2026 – Politics

The senator (-RJ) scored 42% of voting intentions in a simulation of a second round dispute with the president (PT), which was 40%. The data comes from the Genial/Quaest survey released this Wednesday (15).

Both scored 41% in the institute’s last survey and remain numerically tied within the margin of error, which is plus or minus two percentage points.

In the first round simulation, Lula leads (37%), and Flávio scores 32%. They are followed by (6%), (3%), Augusto Cury (2%), (2%), Cabo Daciolo (1%), Samara Martins (1%) and Aldo Rebelo, who did not score. In this scenario, 5% of voters say they are undecided, and 11% say they would vote blank, null or not attend.

There is no comparison for this data considering that Cury, Daciolo and Samara did not appear in the projections.

The approval of the Lula government also varied within the margin of error. The majority of respondents (52%) disapprove of the management, while another 45% approve. The number of people who were unable to answer remained at 5%.

Lula’s administration is also negatively evaluated by 42% of voters. Those who think the performance is positive or regular score, respectively, 31% and 26%.

The survey interviewed 2,004 people aged 16 or over between April 9th ​​and 13th. The margin of error is two percentage points, and the confidence level is 95%. The research is registered with the (Superior Electoral Court) under code BR-09285/2026.

Rejection among the main candidates was also evaluated. Lula leads with 55% of voters saying they know him but would not vote for him. Next comes Flávio, with 52%. The son of former president Jair Bolsonaro gained 3%. It scored 55% in March.

The difference between Lula and Flávio in the votes of independent voters increased and reached 7%. The PL candidate has 33% in this group, and Lula has 26%.
