St. Pölten – Health State Secretary Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig has withdrawn her candidacy for the presidency of the Lower Austrian Social Democrats. “My intention was never to harm the SPÖ Lower Austria,” she emphasized after a meeting of the expanded state party executive committee on Wednesday in St. Pölten. It was unanimously decided that Sven Hergovich will stand for re-election as chairman at the end of May and will be the top candidate in the 2028 state elections.
