Marina leads voting intentions and rejection of the Senate by SP, says survey

The former Minister of the Environment, Marina Silva (Rede), leads the voting intentions for the, according to a survey by Paraná Pesquisas released this Thursday (16). Despite her favoritism, she also appears to be the most rejected among the pre-candidates.

In the first scenario tested, Marina totals 37.8%, followed by Simone Tebet (PSB) with 32.9%. The deputies Guilherme Melts (PP), Ricardo Salles (New) and Paulinho da Força (Solidarity) recorded 27.4%, 19.2% and 15.1%, respectively. The state deputy André do Prado (PL) appears with 9.8%. Blanks and nulls totaled 12.4%, and 6.8% were unable to answer.

In the second scenario, Marina has 37.7%; Tebet, 32.3%; Derrite, 26.8%; Salles, 18.2%; Paulinho, 14.8%; and the deputy Mario Frias (PL), 13.4%. Whites and nulls were at 12.3%, and undecided at 6.3%.

In the third scenario, Marina appears with 37.4%; Tebet with 32.6%; Melt with 26.7%; Salles with 18.3%; the vice-mayor of São Paulo, Colonel Mello Araújo (PL), with 18.1%; and Paulinho with 13.8%. Of those interviewed, 11.9% stated that they would vote blank/null and those who were undecided totaled 5.9%.

In the rejection scenario, Marina leads with 28.2%, followed by Paulinho (24.1%), Tebet (19.7%), Coronel Araújo (17.8%), Frias (16.3%), Derrite (14.7%), Salles (12.8%) and Prado (11.4%). Of those interviewed, 7% said they would vote for any candidate.

Methodology

1,600 people were interviewed in 80 municipalities, through personal interviews, between April 11th and 14th. The margin of error is 2.5 percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence interval.
