It’s been that way for a few days now. Austrians and all other holders of an e-card and full-fledged ID Austria can now digitize the health card. You can choose to store the card electronically on your smartphone using the “My SV” or “My ÖGK” app. The advantage is obvious: even if you forget the physical card when you visit the doctor, you usually at least have your cell phone with you on which you can now store it as a backup.
