Tennis tournament in Paris will see a 9.53% increase in the amounts distributed to players compared to 2025
The Paris Grand Slam will distribute 61.7 million euros to tennis players in the 2026 edition. The total prize pool is equivalent to approximately R$363 million. The value represents an increase of 9.53% compared to 2025. The announcement was made this Wednesday (April 16, 2026), in Paris.
The male and female singles champions will receive R$2.8 million each. The amount corresponds to around R$16 million per winner.
The decision meets players’ demands for a greater share of revenue. The category asked for a better distribution of tournament resources.
The finalists will be entitled to R$1.4 million. The semi-finalists will pocket R$750,000 each. In the quarterfinals, each tennis player will receive R$470,000.
In the round of 16, players will receive R$285,000. The 3rd round will yield R$187 thousand. Tennis players who advance to the 2nd round will win R$130,000.
Participation in the main draw will guarantee a minimum prize of 87 thousand euros. The value corresponds to approximately R$511 thousand for those eliminated in the 1st round.
In the qualifier, the 3rd round pays R$48,000. The 2nd round pays R$33 thousand. Tennis players in the 1st round of the qualifier will receive R$24,000.
COMPARISON WITH OTHER GRAND SLAMS
Roland Garros remains behind the other 3 Grand Slams in total prize money. The US Open distributed 90 million dollars in 2025. The amount is equivalent to approximately R$449 million. The North American tournament established the largest prize pool in the history of tennis.
The Australian Open had a prize pool of 111.5 million Australian dollars in 2026. The value corresponds to around R$405.5 million. Wimbledon offered £53.5 million. The amount is equivalent to R$361 million.
The distribution of values equally includes male and female tennis players in all phases of the competition. The values will be applied to this year’s edition.
