Digital Social Security services continue to gain importance in the daily lives of beneficiaries, especially in matters that previously required in-person travel. The news now concerns the Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly (CSI), support aimed at low-income people, and promises to simplify a request that until now has taken longer.
Anyone who receives the CSI can now obtain the respective supporting statement without having to go to a service desk. The information was provided by , which indicates that the document can now be issued through the Social Security App and also on the Social Security Portal.
Less bureaucracy for beneficiaries
Until now, this statement could only be obtained in person. With the change announced now, beneficiaries will now be able to process this request remotely, which reduces travel and makes the process faster for those who need proof.
In the message published on official channels, Social Security presents this change as a way of giving more time and autonomy to those receiving support, allowing them to resolve the situation at home, without waiting or in-person assistance.
Where can the declaration be issued
According to official information, the declaration can be obtained in two ways. One of them is the Social Security App, designed for those who prefer to use their cell phone. The other is the Social Security Portal, in each user’s reserved area.
On the portal, the declarations area is identified on the main page, and the official Social Security help indicates that access to declarations is made in “Declarations > Consult declarations”. The page dedicated to this area also mentions several options linked to vouchers and declarations of benefits.
The Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly is a monthly cash support intended for elderly people and disability pensioners with low income who do not receive the Social Benefit for Inclusion, according to information available on the official Social Security portal.
