“The Notary” died a public death. On January 31, 2024, Martin Božanov – nicknamed “The Notary” – was murdered in front of a chic residential complex in a suburb of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, most likely by a contract killer. “The notary” was considered an “intermediary” who created or solved “problems” with the judiciary. He is said to have primarily organized real estate fraud.
