According to Trump, if the United States does not reach an agreement with Iran, it plans to continue its attacks.
In an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump declared that the United States has a very strong negotiating position before further negotiations with Iran, and that Washington does not have enough time to extend the ceasefire. TASR informs about it according to the reports of the AFP and Reuters agencies.
“In the end, we’re going to get a great deal. I think they have no choice… We’re in a very, very strong negotiating position,” the White House chief said. When asked about the possible extension of the current ceasefire, he stated that he “doesn’t want it” because there is “not enough time” for it.
The US wants to continue the attacks
According to Trump, if the United States does not reach an agreement with Iran, it plans to continue its attacks. “I expect we will bomb because I think that is the better approach to take. But we are ready. I mean the military is already ready to fight,” he added.
“We removed their leaders, which complicates things in a sense, but these (new) leaders are much more rational. It’s regime change, whatever you want to call it, which is not something I said I would do, but I did it indirectly,” Trump said.
