President accuses reporters from the “Todo Notícias” channel of violating security standards when recording images of the government headquarters
The president of Argentina, (La Libertad Avanza, right), banned the entry of all accredited journalists into the Casa Rosada, headquarters of the government, this Thursday (April 23, 2026), following an investigation into suspected “illegal espionage” involving two channel reporters “All News”.
The fingerprint identification system has been deactivated for those accredited. The Argentine Communications and Press Secretary, , stated that the decision is a national security measure.
The decision to suspend the use of fingerprints for journalists accredited at Casa Rosada was taken as a preventive measure following a complaint from the Casa Militar about illegal espionage. “The only objective is to guarantee national security”he declared.
Then, Milei shared Lanari’s post with the acronym “NOL$ALP” (we don’t hate enough journalists), an expression used by the president and which means “we don’t hate journalists enough”recurring on his social networks.
In a post on Instagram, the president stated that the cause of the blockade is the alleged espionage carried out by journalists Luciana Geuna and Ignacio Salerno, from the television channel. The accusation refers to the broadcast of images from different sectors of the Casa Rosada during the program “And what tomorrow?
The Argentine president accused Geuna and Salerno of corruption, accepting bribes and violating security laws. According to him, journalists “abused the legal system”.
In parallel with the accusation against the channel’s journalists, the Argentine government is also investigating the actions of a Russian woman who organized, through a group called “The Company”a campaign against Milei from July to October 2024.
A consortium of international investigative media outlets identified more than 250 pieces of content published on more than 20 Argentine digital platforms. The Russians paid at least US$283,100 to finance the publications.
