The announcement should be made within ten days, as agreed between the party president, Valdemar da Costa Neto, and Eduardo Bolsonaro.

Prado counted on the insistence of the party president to convince Eduardo of his candidacy. Prado and Valdemar went to the United States at least twice since March to talk to Eduardo.
The nomination of the vacancy to the Senate is a right of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who, due to his health and house arrest, delegated it to Eduardo.
Now, the approval of the governor (Republicans) and the presidential candidate (PL-RJ) also remains.
For the president of Alesp, the race for the Senate is the opportunity after having articulated himself to fill the vacancy as Tarcísio’s vice president. In the end, Tarcísio preferred to continue with his current vice-president, Felício Ramuth (MDB).
