Domestic airfare rises 17.8% in March compared to the same month in 2025

Real average tariff went from R$600.52 to R$707.16 in 1 year; in relation to February, the increase was 14.5%, according to Anac

The average airfare in the country for domestic flights in March was R$707.16 – an increase of 17.8% compared to the same month in 2025, when it was R$600.52. Compared to the February value (R$617.78), the increase was 14.5%. The data is from Anac (National Aviation Agency) and was released on Friday (April 24, 2026).

The methodology only considers the price paid for the gross fare without variations in extra services (baggage allowance, seat assignments, etc.) and promotional discounts offered to professional classes.

The average amount paid by passengers per kilometer flown (yield) was R$0.5549 – an increase of 19.4% compared to March 2025 (R$0.4649). But it represented a drop of 2.5% compared to March 2024 (R$0.5694).

According to Anac, the recorded increases can be interpreted within the typical range of variation in the sector, even with the current context of international conflicts that impact global aviation.

The price of QAV (aviation fuel) in March was R$3.60/liter – a drop of 13.7% compared to the same month in 2025, when the value was R$4.17/liter. There was a decrease of 17.7% compared to March 2024, when the value was R$4.37.

Regarding the fare ranges measured in the period, the majority of seats sold last month (45.4%) were in the range below R$500, with 8.2% of seats sold for more than R$1,500.
