Opposition parliamentarians gave up filing requests for information to the Palácio do Planalto with requests directed to the expenses of the first lady, Rosângela da Silva, the .

The new strategy is designed to try to circumvent its protection. According to the teams of deputies who have presented the requests, at least 60% of them return without information.

The argument given by the federal government is that the first lady does not hold a public position and, therefore, does not have her own team.

In one of the requests presented, the company informed that first ladies perform social representation functions, which involves forming delegations for international trips, for example.

Planalto claims that the courses are strictly discriminated against and that the expenses of the Presidency of the Republic are monitored by the (Federal Audit Court).
