The President of the United States, Donald Trumpmade a publication on his social networks, Truth Social, after being hastily removed from the stage by the United States Secret Service during the White House Correspondents’ Dinnerin Washington, on Saturday night (25), according to information from CNN.
“What a night! The Secret Service and Washington law enforcement did a fantastic job. . The shooter was apprehended and I recommended that we ‘let the show go on,’ but we will follow law enforcement’s guidance entirely. They will make a decision soon. Regardless of that decision, the night will be very different than planned and we will simply have to do it all over again,” he wrote.
According to a source heard by CNNTrump is safe. A government official also said that the other cabinet members are also doing well.
So far, no details about the reason for the withdrawal or additional official information about what happened have been released.
An officer announced over the radio that a shooter was in custody, according to news reports.
The office was evacuated and the location was isolated. There is no evidence of other shooters at this time, according to a source familiar with initial U.S. Secret Service reports.
